Spanish Fork's Jena Sainsbury, one of the event's organizers, said that Big Band Night is her favorite event of the whole year. "This one event is pretty much the whole reason I wanted to get this job with BYU Event Planning," Sainsbury said. "It is such a cool night. It's a great time to honor the veterans, and it's really more for the outside community than just for students." Sainsbury said that many of the attendees of last year's Big Band Night were from the Spanish Fork and Payson areas, and she hopes that many of the area's veterans will come this year as well. Accordingto Sainsbury, the evening will include a nice dinner, 40s music and dancing all evening, live performances and even a wartime skit. Tickets for Big Band Night are $22 and can be purchased at the Wilkinson Center or by calling 801-422-4313. The event will take place in the BYU Wilkinson Center Ballroom.
