Youth basketball schedules are posted online as well as standings. Baseball Tournament Salem Parks and Recreation will have a tournament for 8u, 9u and lOu traveling teams. The tournament will be a four-game guarantee, which will be played weekday evenings, April 13-15, 2010. llu and 12u will be offered two days, April 15-16,2010 with four games guaranteed. Team registration fee is $300 for the younger three age groups and $325 for llu and 12u, if registered before March 15,2010. More information can be found on-line at www.utahsperfectgame.com. Girls Fast Pitch Clinic Salem Parks and Recreation will join forces with Salem Hills High School coach Danielle Ryan and from Snow College pitcher Delyse Downey for a two-day pitching clinic. Focuses of the clinic will be fundamentals, techniques, practice drills and live pitching. The clinic is open to girls from any community in Utah Valley. Clinic dates are Feb. 6 and 13,2010. Cost is $30, which includes a camp t-shirt. Sign up today at Salem Parks and Recreation. Volunteers Needed Salem recreation is now taking names for youth baseball and softball coaches. Most games are played Tuesday and Thursday evenings for grades 3-9. Coaches will be able to pick an assistant coach and practice at their leisure. Teams will be divided the middle of April. Salem Spring Soccer Salem Parks and Recreation will offer spring soccer again. Players may register now through the end of March. Teams will be divided March 29, 2010 and games will begin the second week of April. Hunter Safety Salem Recreation will offer a hunter safety course starting Feb. 15,2010. The course will include five class dates ending Feb. 19, 2010. Cost is $10 and needs to be paid at the Salem Recreation office. Participants need to be 10 years or older, and must attend all classes to pass. Participants will also need to purchase a $10 license/ voucher prior to the class. She loves the color pink and her favorite thing to eat is BBQ Ribs and apple cobbler. Brooke really enjoys reading the Twilight Saga books and her favorite movie is "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron". Brooke's favorite school subject is science. Her favorite vacation was when she went to visit Bear Lake with her family. She loves riding her horse and in her spare time you can find her taking care of her stock show animals. Brooke is involved in the 4H program and she raises a pig, a sheep and a steer to show. Brooke has been taking Martial Arts at Maple Mountain for a year and is currently a senior yellow belt.
