Deadline: Dec. 1, 2009. Student must plan to join the Air Force ROTC at BYU and plan to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy. Apply on line at: vvwvv.afrotc.com/scholarships/applynow/highschol.php Zions Pays For A's Scholarship: up to $1,000. Student must be a teenager enrolled at a school in any grade from 7th-12th. To enter the drawing, a contestant must go into any Zions Bank branch in Utah or Idaho, show his or her most recent report card with at least one "A" grade and provide Zions Bank with the students,name, grade, phone number, school name and city. There will be three drawings during the school year, in Nov., January, and March, with a grand prize drawing for $1,000 in September. AXA Achievement Scholarship. Deadline: Dec. 15, 2009. Student must be a US citizen or legal resident, a high school senior and plan to enroll full-time in a two or four-year college or university by fall 2010, demonstrate ambition and self-drive and give evidence, plus be recommended by an unrelated adult who can attest to the student's achievement. Deadline: March 31, 2010. Student must be a US citizen or legal resident, a high school senior planning to enroll at an eligible four-year college or university by September 2010. Amount: $ 1,000. Apply on line at: www.usbank.com/studentloans. • UVU Leadership Scholarship. Deadline: Feb. 1, 2010. 'Student must be admitted to UVU and have a UVU ID#, maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA and have a strong leadership history. For a list of requirements and to apply go to: vvvvvv. uvu.edu/financialaid/scholarships and select the "Apply Here" button. Lynn Jensen Memorial Scholarship. Deadline: Dec. 19, 2009. Student must be a high school senior and plan to become a school counselor in a public school grades K-12. Amount is $500. Pick-up application in counseling office. Young Entrepreneur Award. Deadline: Dec. 31, 2009. Student must be a high school senior and have exhibited strong entrepreneurial qualities backed up by evidence of such qualities. Amount is between $1,000 and $10,000. Student must be a US citizen graduating from a US-accredited high school, who plans to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. She maintains a 3.8 GPA and her favorite classes include AP Psychology and photography. A member of NHS, Kaley is also part of the SFHS swimming and softball teams. Her interests include graphic design, art and music. On a road trip, Kaley would go to Timber Lakes and would listen to a little bit of everything. She also enjoys football, playing soccer with her little sister and reading.Some of her favorite series' are The Thiel, The Queen, and The King; Gregor ttie Overlanxler; and Hunger Games, Catching Fire.
