Zack Johnson Pig Wrastlin Brette Bennett Difference: From FOOTBALL • A14 Coach Brad Burtenshaw. Salem Hills scored first in the game, on an eightyard Kolapa Wolfgramm run, taking a 7-0 lead. Then the Golden Eagles answered, converting two huge third downs en route to a touchdown of their own, a 12-yard pass from Jace Edmunds to Greg Waite that put Maple Mountain within one. For a second it looked as though this might be a close game. But Salem Hills didn't allow another score by the boys in bufrgundy, putting the clampdown on the Golden Eagle offense, while the Sky- hawks' offensive ground game continued to wreak havoc for Maple Mountain defenders. The result was Salem Hills' most convincing win and Maple Mountain's most brutal loss of the season so far. This Friday, Salem Hills takes on Spanish Fork, while Maple Mountain travels to Pay son. They trained and trained, and would like to thank their parents for their support, and especially thank their coach Jim Jensen. He was rough on them at times, but in the end the kids realized he pushed them so hard because he loves them. The boys put the pig in the barrel in just under 13 seconds. This may be a record for boys 14 and under; word has not arrived back from the national organization. r |
