Show SPANISH FORK Covering what matters most B4 • WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2009 SF Band SH Drama Courtesy photo SHHS REGION DRAMA: The region drama competition was held at Salem Hills High School on Friday, April 3. It was a huge event and the Salem Hills students did well as a school. The following students qualified for state: One Act Performance of "Flowers for Algernon," Zach Heywood, DeGrey Christensen, Nathan Davidson, Ashley Tingler and Amanda O'Grady. Those who performed Individual events, including monologues, scenes, musical theatre and pantomime, were Nathan Davidson, DeGrey Christensen, Ashley Tingler, Amanda O'Grady, Amanda Nish, Cynthia Peck, Sydney Allred, Celeste Lee and Kaitlin Clark. MMHS Drill Team Namon Bills / Spanish Fork News MAKING STATE: Spanish Fork hosted the Region 4 concert band competition Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Bands from throughout the region came to perform for judges. Highest possible marks are three Is. The SFHS concert band, under the direction of Bryant Smith, scored 1, 1 and 1-, qualifying them for the state competition. Pictured above are Courtney Wagner and David Andrews. DFJH Courtesy photo JUNIOR NHS: Students in the National Jr. Honor Society at Diamond Fork Jr. High recently gathered school supplies and earned money to create over 50 school kits for children in India. These kits will allow children in India to have some of the opportunities that we often take for granted. Thanks for the support from families and the community.
