The Governor has designated the week of August 1-7, 2011, as Utah State Parks Road Trip Week and encourages everyone to experience a road trip to one or more of the State Parks. GARFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT WELCOMES NEW SUPERINTENDENT Garfield School District would like to introduce recently hired Ben Dalton. Ben is filling the superintendent position. He comes to Garfield from neighboring Beaver County School District where he taught chemistry, math, and physics at Beaver High School from 1996 to 2002. He served as Beaver High School Vice-Principal from 2002 to 2006, and Milford Elementary Principal/District Transportation Director/ Adult Education Director from 2006 to present. Mr. Dalton grew up in rural Utah. He possess an extensive understanding and knowledge of small school district challenges, budgeting process, policies and an exceptionally solid educational philosophy and background. He is very energetic, enthusiastic and anxious to serve the students and residents of Garfield School District. Mr. Dalton, wife Melinda, and three children; daughter Makayla who will be in the 8th grade, daughter Lexie who will be in the 4th grade, and son Logan age 4, are anxious to relocate in the Panguitch area. A very warm welcome is extended to our new superintendent of schools and his family.
