Last Wednesday they met up with a very tough Milford Tiger team. The Ladies really played the Tigers with very tight defense only allowing them 23 points. Again the girls spread the scoring around and finished with 38 points. On Friday night the Lady Cats went out to Wayne and had a real good game against the Badgers. The girls used a tough defense and held a very good Wayne team to 29 points. The Cats went away from spreading around the scoring, with Kalini Norris scoring a game high to 23 points. At one time Kalini made 8 straight free throws. The Ladies end up with a total of 43 points. The Lady Bob Cats are the number 1# ranked team in 1A. Their next game is at home with Escalante on Saturday the 22. If you want to see the future come on Saturday at 3:30 and see the 7 and 8th grade all stars play. So far these girls haven't been beaten. Next week on the 26th the girls play over in Bryce Valley. Bryce Valley always has a big crowd so make the 30 minute drive and support the girls. The Lady Cats only beat the Mustangs here by 4 points and it will be a very close game. On the 28th the girls play their last home game against the Valley Buffalos. The Bobcats after a great win over the Bryce Valley Mustangs ran into a buzz saw at Piute. Piute ended up winning the game by 19 points. The boys team in Region 20 are all so closely matched that I think nothing will be decided till they get to the region play offs. Which every team has the hot hand on any night is the one that's going to win. I love to go to Piute the crowds are always big, with many of the Panguitch supporters in attendance. Another thing is their band, I love it. Pat was told by someone from Piute that they like playing Panguitch, he said that the last two teams that they played there, all they wanted to do was fight. There was a sophomore tournament in BV, and the Cats came away with third place, they lost to Valley by 2 points, who played Bryce Valley for the Championship. Bryce Valley won and made it two for two in the sophomore tournaments with their girls winning the tournament in Milford. Next week the Bobcats host the Milford Tigers on the 19th and travel over to Wayne on Jan. 21st. The Wrestlers had a match with Gunnison and again came away with another win. Gunnison a 2A school lost to the Cats 48 to 36. The Cats keep getting better with each match and next week the boys have two matches. An away match against Kanab on the 18th and on the 20th they have another home match against Enterprise. Both Kanab and Enterprise are 2A schools The winter sports are really winding down quickly, with only a little over a month left in the season. Come on out and enjoy.
