Call Sandi for scheduling and questions: 690-1197 C M Y K lady bobCats alumnI down 2008 sQuad In fIrst annual alumnI game A Panguitch Lady Bobcats Alumni team of, Krystal Taylor, Chelsea Birch, Oaklee Orton, Jenna Sawyer, Amanda Barney Meacham, Jonie Barton, Laura Boshell, Camille Chistiansen Mickleson, and Pepper Hatch Gale, returned to the site of their glory days at Panguitch High, to meet the challenge of the youngsters of 2008, Friday. For three quarters the 2008 squad held their own and kept pace with the Alumni, but despite running out of oxygen and battling sore legs, the maturity and the floor experience of the Alumni made it’s prescense know late in the game, and they came away with a 44 to 36(?) victory. All of the nine former stars present, and those who were unable to attend, were honored by the Bobcat faithful, for their dedication and hard work in building a tradition of quality, winning, girls basketball, at Panguitch High School. Friday, at Intermountain Christian, Eric Frandsen’s 36 point barrage was the catalyst for a 103 to 31 drubbing of the Eagles. Trac Norris chipped in with 18, Trevor Peterson 15, and Bryce Taylor 12, as the Cats steamrollered an over matched I.C.S. squad. It was De Ja Vu on Saturday at Westridge, as Panguitch once again broke the century mark with a 101 to 48 mauling of the Academy squad. Track Norris led with 24, Eric Frandsen 18, and Brooks Leach with 14. a bIg thank you to all those who helped make the Wrestling Tournament Successful. We appreciate you ALL very much! Thank You All Panguitch High School Wrestling Matt Houston, Kory Owens, Frank Houston & George Whiting ruby’s Inn tournament The Lady Mustangs of Bryce Valley High School continued their very impressive play, as they blasted Parowan 48 to 30 in the Ruby’s Inn Tourney. Deysha Twitchell and Harris led the scoring with 17 and 13 points respectively. Saturday, they improved to a 6 and 0 season record, with a 39 to 24 shellacking of the Monticello Buckeroos. Deysha Twitchell and Shyanne Cornforth each racked up 10 points, to lead the scoring. The Bryce Valley boys chalked up a very impressive win, routing Wasatch Academy, 72 to 24. Dusty Ahlstroms 24 points led the blowout as the Mustangs rang up a total of 5 from the three point range. Saturday, Monticello got a measure of revenge, with a 58 to 42 victory over the Mustang boys. Dusty Ahlstrom once more led the scoring attack with 14, and Mortensen added 12 more with 1 three pointer. sevIer Center PrevIew kICks off 1a gIrl’s basketball Preseason Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, Richfields’s Sevier Center 1A Girl’s Basketball Preview, was totally dominated by those Region 15 teams that were involved. The Panguitch Lady Bobcats came away with a pair of easy wins over Intermountain Christian and Whitehorse high schools. Chelsie Barney’s 14 and Kalani Norris’ 12 led the scoring in the 40 to 16 romp over ICS, as Norris was a demon on the boards, pulling down 18 rebounds. In Saturday’s 43 to 22 win over Whitehorse, Kalani led the way with 12 points and 14 more rebounds, while Bobbie Burningham and Breanne Bateman racked up 8 points each. The Lady Mustangs of Bryce Valley High School, led by Kaitlin Pollock, Deysha Twitchell, and Shyanne Cornforth, served notice to the rest of Region 15 and the State that they are definately a force to reckoned with this season. Featuring a tenacious defense and opportunistic scoring, the Lady Mustangs breezed through victories over Duchense, Manilla, Tabiona, and Green River, to strongly reinforce that notice.
