It's truly amazing how fast the weeks fly by when your having fun. Thanksgiving is almost upon us. My favorite holiday, next to Easter and Christmas. With families so spread out it is hard for our loved ones to get home for the holidays. Thank goodness for telephones, e-mail, and the almost forgotten art of letter writing. With growing families the traditions that have held our families together has grown also. Change is always welcome and good when it brings us all together, even if it is for a short period of time. Speaking of tradition, and I don't know if you'd really call it a tradition, but I have heard that the school board has decided not to let our basketball teams go to the Sophomore Tournament this year. Just my opinion, but what's up with that? I haven't been all that involved with school sports since my kids graduated. I don't know why, but I always thought that the Sophomore Tournament was just part of the basketball season. I felt it got everyone geared up for the remainder of the season. It helped build the momentum for the year. If I'm wrong please call me or e-mail me and let me know. "Made ya think". Escalante was named by the pioneers at the suggestion of who????
