Just the top part of this month to get all those summer projects finished with the kids. The Escalante Ranchers Rodeo on July 22nd was a big success. Thank you to the Escalante Riding Club and everyone that helped to put it together. We're all looking forward to more. The Fireworks display that the Escalante Fire Department put on was the best yet. You are getting better and better every year. We're going to have to get a wider & longer main street. The parade was fabulous. Alot of participants. Its the biggest parade I've seen in all the years that I've been here. The judges was hard put to pick for the different categories this year. Most original 1st place The Primary, 2nd Coughlin/Road Tec. Most Humorous 1st Wild West Retreat, 2nd Class of 56. Best Family Float 1st Porter Family, 2nd Venuti Family. Best use of Theme 1st Rasmussen Family, 2nd WW 2 Veterans. ' Everyone had fun, got plenty of candy, and got wet if they wanted to. The Escalante/Boulder 4-H will be putting on a horsemanship meet Aug. 5 starting at 9:00 am. Go on out to the Escalante Rodeo Grounds and give the kids your support and cheer them on.
