This year's Beaver Civic arts .teenage theater production, The Werewolfs Curse, written by Billy St.. John and produced by the Samuel French inc. and is a totally Outrageous Supernatural Comedy. Harry Pate and Etta Greenleaf, a young couple studying at the University of Lypsinc decided to go for a walk in the forest one late afternoon. While walking around Harry finds a wolf cub in a trap. In the process of setting the wolf free, the young cub turns and bites him. Unfortunately on the next full moon Harry finds out that the wolf he was bitten by was no ordinary wolf. Water Restrictions To All Beaver Residents, effective immediately the water restrictions will be no outdoor watering between the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Thank You, Beaver City New Livestock Indemnity Program Announced by FSA SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 9, 2009 - Eligible ranchers and livestock producers can begin applying for benefits through the Livestock Indemnity Program provided in the 2008 Farm Bill on July 13. "This program will provide livestock producersvwith a vital safety net to help them overcome the damaging financial impact of natural disasters," said Lori Jones, Program Specialist for USDA Farm Service Agency in Utah. The Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP) provides assistance to producers for livestock deaths that result from disaster. LIP compensates livestock owners and contract growers for livestock death losses in excess of normal mortality due to adverse weather, including losses due to hurricanes, floods, blizzards, disease, wildfires, extreme heat and extreme cold. Eligible losses must have occurred on or after Jan. 1, 2008, and before Oct. 1, 2011. Eric Edwards and Craig Wright Ray Yardley, American Cowboy Ray Yardley is delighted to represent Beaver County as an honoree at "The National Day of the American Cowboy" that is part of the Ogden Pioneers Days. He will be honored at a celebration that includes a banquet, parade, and rodeo. Ray Yardley is one of the oldest cowboys still riding the range in Beaver County at the age of 81. His 27 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren and faithful wife, Mary, are tag-along followers in his daily footsteps along with his faithful dog and trusty horse. Ray has served as Chairman over the Beaver River Grazing Advisory Board and the North Divide Cattle Association, was selected as Utah State Department of Agriculture Employee of the Year and State Brand Inspector of the Year, won a new saddle from the Utah Cattlemen's Association for new memberships, and was awarded a Recognition Certificate from the US Department of Interior for the betterment of the ranges. Ray is proud to be a Beaver native and loves living and farming with his family in this beautiful place nestled in the mountains. 2009 Beaver County Fair Demolition Derby and Mini Car Figure 8 Race Time is running out for you to get your car ready for the Demolition Derby. This year's derby is August 15th at 6:30 at the fair grounds in Minersville. Car inspections will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. the day of the derby. This year again we will have a mini car figure 8 race with a $700 first place prize, so if you have a mini car, please register early. This is a limited entry event to the first 12 cars. Also this year, if you haven't* heard, we will do a pro stock heat. This includes Chrysler Imperials. The prize for this heat will also be $500.
