Show B2 SPORTS BOLDT from B1 tion by players during games, his marital troubles, including his alleged moving out of the family home and into the team hotel, and even stories of his alleged painkiller addiction. Why is all this corning out now after their collapse and not when they were winning titles? Before jumping on board and piling on, when we hear stories like this we need to take pause and look at ourselves and what we believe in. Rather than finding a way to separate our fandom and our personal life, we should pattern our fanaticism after who we are and what we want to become. The next time there is a dramatic rise and fall of a team or an icon think about what could be said about who you are and what you've done and hold off on judgment. When we pause and respond without jealousy, it's a lot easier to lose the ugly masks and remove hatred from our sporting experience. Wolverines sweep conference awards SOCCER from B1 The Wolverines appeared to be a totally different team in the second period, pushing the ball and playing on Howard's end of the pitch for a change. UVU more than doubled their shots on goal with 13 for the period while decreasing Howard's shots by one down to three. Despite the pickup in energy and productivity Bison keeper Dickinson picked up the pace as well recording nine saves. "She played really well tonight," Anderson said. "I was impressed she made some really tough saves." It wasn't until there was less than ten minutes left in the match that the Wolverines got on the board. Lexi Dunn took a direct kick on goal but Dickinson made an athletic diving save. That save was put in jeopardy on a header by Ashley Burdett and was then put to bed by Burdett picking up her own rebound and sending the ball into the back of the net for the equalizer. The forward opened the scoring in the game with a goal less than four minutes in then netted the game-winning goal in the 84th minute. It's the second time this season that Young has earned the award. Sack, a sophomore from Reno, Nev., recorded four saves in a 3-2 victory at North Dakota.
