We were all taken by surprise because Disney doesn't usually give us movies that are all around good-and this one was amazing! They set the bar, and they set it high. How could they out-do themselves by making it a trilogy? Well-it's sad to say-they couldn't. Dead. Man 's Chest follows the mold of The Curse of the Black Pearl to the tee. Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) is in trouble, so Will (Orlando Bloom) seeks the help of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). Men from the Navy are causing trouble and complicating the plot. An evil group of unexplainable creature-like pirates is determined to bring Sparrow down. The only notable difference is that the first movie had an ending. Dead Man's Chest leaves us hanging just like the end of The Matrix Reloaded . Two big things happen, and then the credits begin. We are left completely in the dark until the third movie comes out next summer. Dead Man's Chest is not close to being up to par with the original.. It fell to Disney's curse of sequels. Other than Toy Story 2, has Disney ever made a good sequel? Has Disney ever made one that actually went to theaters? Dead Man's Chest should've sunken to DVD shelves just like all other Disney sequels. Don't get me wrong. Pirates 2 isn't without its charm. There are plenty of fun parts, good jokes, great special effects and very cool fight sequences. It's the parts between those moments that make it dull and a lesser sequel. Because of the cliff-hanging ending, it's probably better to wait a year and see how it all turns out before carving the final critique in stone. The third installment could entirely change the way that we see this movie. But on it's own, it's nothing special. They should've saved some money, cast a bunch of no-names and re- Courtesy photo/bvpublicity.com leased this as another direct-to-DVD Disney flick. Johnny Depp stars as Jack Sparrow. '.' When a person thinks of Costco, they usually envision items in bulk, great deals and free samples. But did you know that Costco also has a fantastic eatery? They've got hot dogs, polish dogs, chicken bakes, sodas, pizzas, berry soft serves, churros... I pretty much just named everything on the menu. They've got it all for extremely low prices. The Orem location is very close to UVSC's main campus. In fact, it's just up the road near the University Mall. '• Matt Crawford, a UVSC student, said, "For how cheap it is, it's a good place to go. It fills you up. I would definitely recommend it to other students, especially ones who don't have a lot of money." Marshall Krebs, a Junior at UVSC, comments about Costco's polish dog and pop deal. "The thing I really like about it is that they have free refills. The polish dog leaves a bad aftertaste when you burp. I like how you just turn the crank on the onions and relish and you can put as much on as you want. They could add chili and cheese as extra condiments." What are the downsides to eating there? As mentioned above, the menu is limited so you don't get a vast variety of food. Also, because the eatery is very popular, it's loud, crowded and rare that you find a place to sit down. When you find one, you usually have to clean the spot off yourself. A solution? Get your order and take it to a nearby park to work on your tan while enjoying the outdoors. So when you have a moment to grab a bite, why not consider getting something from Costco? It's quick, close to campus, has good food and the best part is, Costco costs less.
