Tips to avoid poor body image this summer When it comes to summer, you probably think of sleeping in, swimming, hiking, sunny days and lots of playtime. Another item that's likely to be on your mind is how you look. Body image is defined as how you see yourself when you look in the mirror or picture yourself in your mind. But body image is often influenced and distorted by things around you. The media bombards you with between 400-600 images every day through magazines, billboards, TV, and newspapers.
