Show life B5 Spring concert Don't miss UVSC's talented Dance Team in their 2006 Spring Concert, March 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ragan Theater. The team, which has ranked in the topfiveat national competitions in as many years, will be performing several exciting new routines, including their national competition routine. Everything you'll see is choreographed by the dancers themselves, which is not only a testament to their individual dedication, but adds to the overall personality of the concert. Tickets are $5 in advance at Campus Connection, $6 at the door for UVSC students, faculty and staff, $8 at the door for general public and $5 for senior citizens. GCXT UDEO to feature world- famous dancer Michelle Walker Life Writer UVSC, in conjunction with the Utah State Office of Education, the Utah Arts Council and the Utah Regional Ballet, is hosting Utah Dance Education Organization's (UDEO) sixth annual statewide conference titled, "Four Part Harmony," this Saturday, March 4, in the Ragan Theater. The conference will feature panel discussions, movement and pedagogy classes, and world-famous dancer and choreographer Alonzo King as keynote speaker. King will also be teaching movement seasons, including ballet technique and a choreography workshop. UVSC Department Chair and Assistant Professor Kim Strunk will present an African Dance session, and Assistant Professor of Modern Dance Doris Trujillo, who will become UDEO's new president at the conference, will be moderating the panel discussion on architecture of successful dance programs. Utah Regional Ballet founder and UVSC lecturer and Artistic Director Jacki Colledge will also be participating in the conference. The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the conference will conclude at 3:30 p.m. The registration fee for students is $35, $45 for dance professionals and $90 for non-UDEO members.
