Show life B2 MONDAY* IANUAKY 9 ' THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK Holiday Hit think thai when people look back at the films in our time, they will know us for having zero iiood original ideas for films. We have had so many remakes lately that it is embarrassing. Some are hits, but most are definite misses. This holiday's hit: The Producers. The Producers is based on Mel Brooks' play, and was re-written for the screen in 1968. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. who reprise their same characters from the play, play two men who've conceived a way to make millions from producing a potential Broadway flop from a musical based on the life of Adolf Hitler. The brilliant thing about The Producers is that it is done just like the Broadway show. We're talking overacting, obvious sets, and the overall feel. Out of all the movies made to feel like a play, this one takes it. It's a shame that not all remakes can be done as uniquely as this one. i Reel B19 Ti/h Reel Big Fish is playing with Zebrahead this Tuesday at Club Ice (formally Club Axis) in Salt Lake.
