As a student of communication and social media, I have been noticing a concerning behavior trend. This trend is the pursuit and the blatant acceptance of nothing less than perfection. Perfection is the unattainable goal of most human beings. After all, who wouldn't want everything in their life to go right? Personally, I always remind myself that when less-than-ideal situations present themselves in my life, they just serve as a reminder of how sweet the good things in life are. Open your eyes to all of the beauty that surrounds even the basics of life. Occurs. Our society, unfortunately, is one that demands instant gratification, popularity, wealth and power. It's a society that has become overwhelmed with "ranking." Social media is put on a pedestal to the point where I've seen people, myself being no exception, getting completely ecstatic about how many "likes" their recent Facebook status received. Our society is revolving around others' opinions, and although what others believe is always important, it's being taken as the No.i priority. This young-adult generation is constantly obsessed with where it To read more, visit: www.dailyutahchronide.com/blogs Goo DepooDe @brandonbrownslc Brandon Brown Picked up my tickets to see @michaelianblack at the #uofu next week.
