Show DAILY UTAH CHRONICLE 8 JUSZCZAK continued from Page 6 and the rest of the U-zo team were in the ARCO U.S. Olympic Training Center trying out for the traveling squad. Although the traveling squad won't be announced until the end of this month, Juszczak, if selected, will be traveling to Europe to compete in the prestigious International Rugby Board Junior World Rugby Trophy (the equivalent of the Junior World Cup) in May. The team will begin by traveling to the country of Georgia to play in pool games against Samoa, Romania and Japan. Juszczak will find out if he makes the traveling team later this weekend. "It's exciting, but a bit nervewracking as well," he said. "I'm balancing being a full-time student, holding a part-time job, playing on a college team and training for a national team all at once. All there is to do is wait." Despite the excitement surrounding the U-zo team, Juszczak is trying to stay focused on Utah rugby. Utah is in the middle of regular-season play—the team's Senior Night is Saturday against Air Force—and Juszczak would not miss any of Utah's postseason if he traveled to Georgia. "Our goal is another title appearance—we're proving Utah is right up there in the rugby world Thursday, April 14, 2011 TRACK alongside Cal and BYU," Juszczak said. "That is our goal and my goal this season, whatever happens with U-2os." No matter what happens from this point on, both with Utah and the U-2o team, this season has helped Juszczak see rugby as more than just a game on the field. "It's great knowing Utah and our national team is helping put rugby on the map," he said. "Everyone dreams of representing their country on the international level...and knowing Utah rugby has helped the U.S. national team develop and grow is such an incredible feeling." said. The high jumper won the UVU meet April i with a 5-7.25 jump. Anneli Stahl and Cynthia Sanchez will lead the Utes in the hammer throw, and Nikkie Rudder and Candus Aiello will compete in the shot. Stahl finished with a personal best of 183-00 at UVU. Competition starts in Logan at the Ralph Maughan Track Stadium at io a.m., and also in Walnut at Hilmer Lodge Stadium at 10 a.m. k.price@ chronicle.utah.edu j.bullinger@ chronicle.utah.edu continued from Page 6 up--3:1, 221 5.1300 E. eat fresh.
