Abbott didn't compete in last week's Utah Valley University Invitational, but placed fifth in her heat in the 5,000 meters at Stanford on March 25. Frostl will compete in the hammer throw in the meet. Junior Langley Iverson will attempt to continue her success from last week when she won first place in the high jump at the UVU Invitational. Sophomore Amanda Mergaert is coming off a tremendous indoor season from earlier in the year, in which she broke her own mile record three times. "The weather forecast is not spectacular for Friday, but that's outdoor track most places in the country," Kepler said. "We will be ready to compete and get better regardless of the conditions because everyone has to deal with them." i.hibbardechronicle.utah.edu |
