The Utes garnered four spots on the team, one of which went to defensive lineman Steve Fifita, who also received Defensive Player of the Year honors. Utes joining Fifita on the team include senior offensive lineman Jesse Boone, senior linebacker Spencer Toone and junior safety Eric Weddle. New Mexico's DonTrell Moore earned Offensive Player of the Year honors, and Colorado State's Nnamdi Ohaeri was named Newcomer of the Year. Jesse Boone takes some of the heat off of Steve Savoy during the Utes' victory over Colorado State fast season. Wyoming had the most players on the All-MWC team, garnering seven selections.
