Sunday, December 18 At the end of my second term as mayor, I Thank you for the Join our wonderful community in celebratgraduated from Southern Utah University with opportunity to serve as your new Weber County Commissioner. I appreciate your trust and support. I was fortunate to visit with many of you during my campaign to get to know you and the things that are important to you. For those I haven’t met yet, I’d like to introduce myself so you can get to know me better. I was born and raised in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High School. I also graduated from Weber State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. I have worked as a selfemployed accountant my whole career, serving small business owners in the county. I married Gus Bolos from Wilson (now West Haven) and together we raised our six children in Weber County. We’re now enjoying watching our grandkids grow up here, too. I learned from my parents to make community involvement an integral part of my life and I’ve always looked for ways to support my community. I’ve enjoyed volunteering in our schools and communities, and I continued that service my master’s degree in public administration. I’m looking forward to using those skills in my new role in the County. I enjoy working with public employees and value their skills and expertise as they provide services to all of us here in Weber County. Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss issues that are important to you. I welcome public input and want to understand your perspectives and experiences as I’m called upon to make decisions on behalf of my fellow Weber County residents. I know that good communication is a vital part of public service, and I look forward to hearing from you. I recognize that residents of each neighborhood, community, the valley as a whole, and our county have diverse needs and priorities. While those differences can create challenges, I’m confident that as we work together we can create solutions that serve all of us. Together, we can continue to make Weber County the best place to live, work, and play. The following nomination for Michelle touched our hearts. “Michelle Perry works the longest hours making meal plans and then cooking, often working every weekday—coming in on Saturdays and Sundays at times to check on things. She can make fabulous meals with whatever is donated and feels it’s important to give those in need good healthy food.
