Show The Working Woman According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of mature women returning to work after raising a family is on the Increase. Government statistics reveal that one out of every three workers today is a woman. This feminine movement, experts believe, has been made possible largely through modern advances in medical science. Women, they note, once saw themselves exclusively as housewives and mothers. By the time they had reached their forties, they considered their lives on the decline. Now, many doctors point out, fewer women entering their forties feel that their active lives are over. Todays control of disease, knowledge of nutrition and diet, and hormone replacement therapy during menopause, they say, are combining to keep women more vital and more involved in the world around them.
