Any home with the slightest Inclination to food adventure ought to have each of these homemade or pans on hand for the things otherwise, baked in them are such fun. A spring form pan consists of a bottom and a detachable side, which is fitted around the bottom and fastened with a clamp. SO HANDY It does away with the need to pry or shake a delicate dessert upside down out of the pan. Once the side is removed, the cake or mold may be lifted off the bottom with a spatula and gently placed on a beautiful serving plate. A flan ring has a somewhat similar use, but consists of a simple round or rectangular band about U2 inches high, with no bottom. It is used on top of a cookie sheet or other firm surface to hold a delicate pastry filled with fruit or other filling.
