up a batch of sandwiches at one time package separately and put in the freezer to save making them each morning But advises the Tennessee experiment station it pays to choose fillings that freeze successfully Tennessee studies show that fillings made of chicken beef salmon cheese or peanut butter keep good quality and flavor for three or four weeks in the freezer but that ham may become strong after three weeks Not suited to freezing are raw vegetable fillings which lose color and when thawed or whites crispness of eggs which become rubbery from freezing Best spread to use is butter or margarine "because salad dressing or mayonnaise separates and soaks into the bread Only freshly prepared sandwiches should be frozen The Tennessee scientists say that for leftovers safety fillings from — should never be frozen or any sandwiches which have been prepared for several hours For freezing package each sandwich separately wrap closely in paper and label moisture-vapor-resista- nt f Mr
