Crane, of Sheridan, Wyoming, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice, to Richard Clark Elton, of Springville, Utah. A December 17th wedding is planned in the Salt Lake Temple. Grandparents are Mrs. Mable Crane, of Salina, and Mr. and Mrs. Orean Barney, of Richfield. if ifty distinguished alumni of Snow College, including 15 from Sanpete and Sevier Counties, will be honored at the schools Centennial Homecoming celebration Saturday, October 29. Those fifty, along with fc-J Scouting for Food project will be held November 12 Thousands of Utahs hungry citizens will have food to eat, and thousands of Boy Scouts will have done their good deed when the Scouting for Food project is completed in November. As part of a nationwide and Boy Scouts throughCub effort, out the state will distribute bags to homes on Saturday, November 12. They will ask residents to place non perishable food in the bags and then will return the following week, November 19, to pick up the bags. Varsity and Explorer Scouts will assemble and box the food which will be transported by members of the Utah National Guard. Utah Power and Light will provide the bags. The food will go to needy families throughout the state. The potential good that can be accomplished through this effort is truly staggering, said Paul Sabey, director of finance and public relations for the Utah national Parks Council headquartered in Provo. The winter holiday scene is in honor of musical genius Irving Berlin, who wrote the legendary song, White Christmas. Also available will be the traditional Christmas stamp based on the painting Madonna and child, by Italian Florentine Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli. This years stamps are 50 percent larger than last years stamps. Both are in full color.
