Ofifl Aurora News Salina News Kathleen Lloyd - Evelyn Kiesel - Apologizes go out from your Aurora News Correspondent for not bringing you the Aurora News last week but the Lloyds were off visiting in Arizona. Delbert and Kathleen Lloyd and their 6 children enjoyed going to Holbrook, Arizona for a few days. While there Delbert and Kathleen attended their High School Class reunion over the weekend which included a picnic during the day at Cholla Lake and a that evening. They also visited with Delberts sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Young, Holbrook, Arizona and enjoyed staying a few days in Snowflake, Arizona visiting with Kathleens sister and brother and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Wheeler. They also visited many old friends and relatives int he surrounding areas. Upon their return they enjoyed touring the Glen Canyon Dam. The 5 th of July activities in Aurora were enjoyed by many Aurora residents which included a flag raising ceremony followed by a breakfast at the Aurora City Park. In the afternoon fun games, contests and food booths were the fun activities for all to enjoy. The events were sponsored by the Aurora 2nd Ward Elders. The Aurora 1st ward relief society enjoyed a Mother-daughtBarbecue Party recently at the Aurora City Park. All attending enjoyed a lovely barbecued turkey dinner with scones potluck salad and dutch oven cherry cubblerand ice cream. A lovely program was also enjoyed. Two young ladies were baptized and confirmed members of the LDS Church recently. In the Aurora 1st ward Meagan Black, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Black was baptized by her father, Charles and confirmed a member of the Aurora 1st Ward LDS CHurch by her uncle Todd Kennedy of Kearns, at the Sal-in- a Stake Center on July 2nd. Her family was there for the special occasion along with Mr. and Mrs. Lane (Kim) Barney of Salina, and Mr. and Mrs. Todd Kennedy, Kearns. A family dinner was enjoyed afterwards to honor Meagan on this special day. Amber Dawn Foote, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Stan Foote was baptized on July 2nd at the Salina Stake Center by her father, Stan and confirmed a member of the Aurora 2nd er Producers 529-345- 3 J Ward LDS Church also by her father Troy Shaw, son of Bishop and Mrs. Devon Shaw left for the Missionary Training Center in Provo on Wednesday, July 6th. Troy will be serving in the St. Louis, Missouri Mission Field. Visiting with Mrs. Ruby Mason was her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mason of Los Almos, New Mexico. With the Masons were 12 scouts and two other couples. They all came up to attend the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti. The family and friends of Genevieve Crowther honored her on her 75th birthday with an open house on Saturday, July 2nd at the Aurora Cultural Hall. Many family members and friends attended the program and reception that evening.
