Officials of the states largest farm organization say that while their building has been sold, they will still be conducting business at the same spot. Kenneth R. Ashby, Delta, president of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation, says the recent sale of the home office building in Salt Lake City does not affect the ownership or operation of either Farm Bureau Insurance or the Utah Farm Bureau. The two agencies have leased back part of the building on an extended term lease and will continue to office in that location. With todays tax laws and other considerations, it is common for businesses to allow lessors to own their office buildings and make favorable lease back arrangements, Ashby said. By doing this, we have saved our members and policyholders significant amounts of money, he concluded. REPAIR AND SERVICE! Mental development and continued exercise is a critical basic part of a happy, healthy life. There are many ways to exercise brain cells, and we must do it to keep the brain healthy. I recently attended a seminar where the speaker discussed a research program conducted to determine the healthiness of the brain. It was found the healthy cells were found in those who had been using their minds, while those minds that were inactive showed atrophy or deterioration of the brain cells. One of the saddest challenges of old age seems to be the loss of mental fullness or the capacity to remember and relate to the realities of things around us. Here at the Center, we strive to do special things to stimulate our patients thinking processes. The funds have been tied up in a subcommittee for about three years. In exchange for the land, the state received 320 acres of land near Bryce Canyon airport; 60 acres near Widtsoe Junction; and 3.03 acres in the Richfield Industrial Park. It is hoped that the $7.5 million earmarked for improvements to the Burr Trail can be released by Spring. Once the road is in acceptable condition the land will likely be deeded to the park Service. One of the most often asked questions for the DWR is Why are Utah fishing licenses so expensive compared to fishing licenses in surrounding states? The price of an adult resident fishing license in Utah is $18, and is the second highest, next to California, with $18.50. The same license will cost $11 in Colorado; and $7.50 in $10.50 in Idaho Wyoming. Why? Keep in mind that it is necessary for Utah to stock most of its fishing waters. This means that the state must raise in hatcheries a large percentage of its fish, as i -- 1 5 Years Automotive Exp. We do Major and Minor Repairs most of our waters do not naturally reproduce trout. Some states have waters that naturally produce enough fish to satisfy the public demand for fishing opportunities. Colorado has developed other sources for funding; Utah has more people and less water than,. Idaho and Wyoming, and a larger percentage of the residents of Utah like to fish. Hatchery raised fish typically cost the DWR about $2.16 per pound to raise. Fees collected from the sale of fishing licenses go directly toward raising more fish. We have Many USED PARTS! These circumstances, along with increased public access as a result of the new highway, made the area a popular water for fishing. The DWR spent more than $30,000 to restore about 5 miles of Clear Creek to prime rainbow and brown trout habitat.
