Shes got a tom that weighs flock in her little 61 pounds, and thats big on anybody's scales. In fact, its bigger, bv three pounds, than Denise herself, dripping wet. And Denise figures that when that tom goes to the turkey show a month from now, with plenty of feed and tender loving care in the meantime, hell weigh in at 75 pounds 4-- That would break her sister Signes record, set five years ago, when Signe sent a tom to the 4 H show that weighed 73 pounds The giant bird got Signe in the Guiness World Book of Records. Their father Richard thinks it is probably the largest turkey ever raised m Utah. Denise is out to break the record, he says 1 suppose its something called sibling rivalry. Sibling rivalty or not, the Olson children are deep in turkey production. Represents Utah 4-- H at Congress Snow College student Ken Frank Kennedy, son of Sheldon and Willa Kennedy from Randolph will represent Utah at the National Club Conin Chicago, Illinois, gress November 1, 1977, as state winner in the Achievement program. Ken is a ten yeai Club member. He has participated in baby beef club, tractor club, cooking club, range management and leathercraft. He was active in sports at South Rich High School. He has earned a Duty to God Award in his church and is an Eagle Scout. At the present time he is enrolled at Snow College. Ken will join 20 other Utah delegates and four winning adult leaders as they leave for Chicago by plane the day after Thanksgiving and return December 2. They will participate with about 1 ,200 delegates from throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Elizabeth Gorham, State Specialist, Utah State University Extension Service said, The Utah group will take a bus tour of Chicago and a tour of the Museum of Science and enjoy special entertainment, participate m formal meals on jobs and careers and energy concerns.
