One of the antique quilts which will be included is one made by Mrs. Minerva Munk Davenport, who was born in 1869. Minerva began to build the quilt when she was nine. As part of her learning to sew, each afternoon, before she could go to play, Minerva was required to stitch by hand, using a thimble, the blocks. The little blue and white blocks were cut and threaded on a double thread. When the small blocks were ready neighborhood women sewed them into large blocks and quilted about three weeks before the quilt as it is today was finished. Minerva was 12 then. The quilt has been loaned for the display by Mrs. Ruth D. Scow, one of Minervas descendants. Quilts and coverlets, at least 75 years old, will still be received for the display., according to Mrs. Mary Lois Madsen, Sanpete county home extension agent. They can be delivered to her office at the nine-patc- courthouse. Quilts and coverlets from this area will be chosen for display at the Festival of the American West on the Utah State University campus in August. cup sugar cups hot water 2 egg yolks Cook over medium heat until thick; then add: V square margarine 1 tsp. lemon juice Cool slightly. A bundt cake is a rich butter cake baked in a special type of pan. The pan, which originated in Europe, is ring shaped with a hole in the center. The edge of the bundt pan is scalloped which gives a lovely contour to the cake. The cake resembles pound cake in texture and makes a fine accompaniment for tea, ice cream or fresh fruits. To make this rich, flavorful Pineapple Bundt Cake, a package of pineapple flavored gelatin, four eggs and a half cup of margarine are added to yellow cake mix. The cake is large and will take about 50 minutes to bake add an extra ten minutes if theres a lot of humidity in the air. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out on a wire rack.
