The car was totaled, according to a report by her mother, and Kris was fortunate in not having far more serious injuries. She is a student at SUSC. 1 Santa Clara, Utah, where they attended the wedding of their granddaughter, Deloris Stewart, a daughter of Otto and Ardith Alder Stewart. The groom is Wayne Hill, Hunting-toBeach, Calif. The wedding was held at Dixie College in St. n George. His condition has now apparently stabilized, a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Maurine) Draper said earlier this week. Mrs. Braithwaite is also in a Salt Lake hospital. She was admitted to the Holy Cross Hospital Monday afternoon for treatment of a back ailment. Marx, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Draper, Sunset, and Clinton Marx, Ogden, and Diana Cothern, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cothern, Kanab. were married in Kanab March 24. Both are employed at Hill Air Force Base. They will make then home in Layton. Roy ATTENTION! The Mayor and Councilmen of Manti City urge the immediate conservation of electricity in both homes and businesses. Due to the increased demand for energy this past season, Manti City has had to buy additional electricity from Utah Power and Light Co. at a rate that far exceeds the current rate charged to Manti City residents. Although the present rates will have to be adjusted later, we request immediate conservation every day and especially from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Auer (LeAnna) Johansen and daughter, LaJolla, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Guy McArthur and four children, Gunnison; Mrs. Maurine Stone and daughter, Scipio, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thornton, Monroe. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly (Jean) Sharp were weekend guests at the Forest Washburn home. Karen and Kirk Jorgenson, students at BYU, spent Sunday alternoon with their grandmother, Mrs. Zina Henrie. Mrs. Erma Olsen returned to Manti Saturday evening after spending a week visiting with relatives and friends in Tooele and Salt Lake City. Forest Mrs. Hazel McCaffery is at home reeuperating after surgery on March 21. Her son and his family, Granger, spent the weekend assisting her. Coming on Sunday to call on her were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Woodside of Nephi and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garda, Salt Lake City. Washburns two brothers. Smith and Ordean, spent two days last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Forest Washburn. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Huntsman had their two daughters, Beth and Ella Huntsman, Salt Lake City, visit with them over the weekend. On March 27 Mr. and Mrs. Derrel (Sheila) Jensen, Sandy, came to the Ephraim South Ward for the christening of their baby, who received the name Troy LaVar. After the services they and a second son, Jeffrey, met at the home of Darrels parents. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Jensen, for dinner. Other dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Don Jensen and children. Granger; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jensen and two children, Manti; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Forty members of the Bryan McArthur and Ronald Miller families met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Flenningson Sunday afternoon for a pot luck turkey dinner. The event was in honor of the naming and blessing of Patsy and Danny Miller's infant son. He was named Chad Ronald Miller by his father during Sunday services in the Manti South Ward. guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Miller and n Mrs. Eunice Harris, North Hollywood, Calif., came on Tuesday of last week to assist at the Harmon Parry home. Mrs. Parry took the flu and Mr. Parry is still in the hospital. She visited every day with her father and did everything she could for Mrs. Parry. Her husband came on Saturday and they left to go to Hunter for the blessing of their grandchild on Sunday. While there they met with other family members in Roy for the wedding of her granddaughter, Dorthy Sorenson, and also attended the wedding of a Craig Allred. 2 them. The young couple returned to Manti Sunday night March 27 and plan to make their home in Manti for the present.
