Show ufas o O Cdubs Social yfye O People and Sagebrush Swingers Club Ephraim Schools Faculty Plans Square Dance Have Early Breakfast The Sagebrush Swingers Square Dance Club is sponsoring a dance featuring live music by the Schroeders Playboys from Arizona with guest callers. This dance will be held at the Gunnison City Park Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. This musical group is traveling to West Yellowstone, Montana, where they will play for a square dance jamboree. The first faculty meeting of the year for the Ephraim Everyone is invited to attend the dance. Proud parents are Craig and Debra Jensen of Centerfield. The baby is the second grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Jensen of Center-fiel- d and the third grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Nielson of Ephraim. are Dr. and Mrs. G. Stanford Rees of Gunnison and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Jensen of Centerfield. Mrs. Jensen and son will be staying at the home of her parents in Ephraim for a week after leaving the hospital. ojUd, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lund of Mt. Pleasant are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby boy born Aug. 15 at the Sanpete Hospital. The child weighed 3 lbs. 12 oz. He was flown by air immediately after birth to the University Hospital at Salt Lake, where he was cared for before returning to the Mt. Pleasant hospital Aug. 22. He is doing nicely now. The new baby received the name of Justen Vernon. The Lunds have one daughter, Carrie. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edgar (Vonda) Merriam, Manti, who now have 19 grandchildren, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Logsdon of Orem. (Jo-Lyn- 835-635- 2 Elementary and Junior High Schools was combined with an early morning breakfast Monday morning. A breakfast on the lawn had been planned but an early morning shower moved e the event into the room. School Principal Lyle Loosle welcomed the group and at the introduced new faculty mem- bers and guests breakfast. Special guests invited to the event were Supt. Ephraim Seniors Enjoy Outing Forty-si- x Ephraim Senior Citizens enjoyed a fun outing to Lagoon Aug. 18. They left Ephraim at 1:00 aboard a chartered, air conditioned Continental bus and arrived at their destination in great shape. Here they scattered in all directions. Some brave ones tried the rides roller coaster, jet star, aerial tram, train, etc. Most of them enjoyed touring Pioneer Village. Then they assembled at the Gas Light Restaurant for a delicious dinner of their choice and then were treated to a musical play "Wonderful Town" at the Opera House. They boarded the bus after the play and found it had a flat tire, so that necessitated a stop at the garage for repairs. They arrived back home in the wee hours high in their praise of an entertaining day. Helen Rigby, Beulah Clark and Maxine Hardin made the arrangement for the trip. The occasion was the second Kensington of the season. The afternoon was spent in handwork and socializing, along with business. Mrs. Pearl Anderson was voted in as a new member to join the group of 17 members. A delicious dinner was served by four hostesses: Mrs. Thelma Tatton, Mrs. Vonda Merriam, Mrs. Helen Tuttle and Mrs. Louise Wintch. The table was decorated with red gladiolas and white daisies from the garden of Mrs. Tuttle. At 5:00 the group also enjoyed visiting the old Patten home.
