Harmon and Orpha Parry and Robert and Ella Gray were honored at a reunion at Manti Memorial Park Saturday by the children of Harmon and Ella. All six of their children were present, including Elaine, Eunice, Barbara, Bernard, Nelda and Ronald, along with their spouses, children and grandchildren.. Fifty people were present, coming from California, Texas, Michigan and Utah. They enjoyed freshments, re- visiting and a program which included the reading of a tribute to Harmon and Orpha, Robert and Ella. Alfred Peterson, husband of the former Carma Alder, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Alder, who is stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army, y flew home to spend a furlough with his family. The Peterson family met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alder Sunday to help celebrate the birthday of Jeremie, who was three years old and is the oldest son of Alfred and Carma. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Purcell of Fillmore spent Sunday in Manti visiting with Carl and Nan Purcell and family and with Nans parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Atkins of Scotland. Eighteen family members gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wintch Saturday for dinner and visiting. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Chesley (Mary Marie) Wintch and son Douglas; Mr. and Mrs. attended a session of the Manti Temple Friday and then returned to their homes in Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Roger (Lynn) Jones have been enjoying the visit of Lynns parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wong of Halliwa, Hawaii. The Wongs will be staying for the Mormon Miracle Pageant. On June 14 France Puenzieux and her daughter Heidi Good went to Salt Lake City where Heidi received her American citizenship. France received her citizenship in 1961. Both said they were proud to be an American and love this country and all the people very much. June 28 was the 70th birthday of France. To honor her and to celebrate the occasion her family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Nellie) Sanderson and their six children and Heidi Leslie Good and her three boys and France met at the Mt. Pleasant City Park where they picnicked and as France said, had a nice time there. Mr. and Mrs. Jannice Nielson were in Salt Lake City to spend Fathers Day with their daughter Janice and family. Work Affects Social Security Working people under 72 getting social security retirement, survivors or dependents payments should report any changes in their 1976 earnings estimates as soon as possible. Social security payments to people age 72 and over are not affected by their earnings. Earnings of people under 72, however, may be affected and should be reported promptly. This may be done by phoning or visiting any social security office or by mailing in the post card furnished to people who work and get social security checks. Social security payments are not affected by earnings of $2760 or less for the year... Payments are reduced $1 for each $2 earned over $2760, but no matter how much people, earn in a year they can get their full social security check for any month they neither earn over $230 nor do substantial work in their own business. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Lund of golden, Colo., were in Manti with a temple excursion on Friday. They also spent some time visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jannice Nielson. , Manti Messenger, Thursday, July Marine Huntington first unit to service has been reduced from a maximum of 30 to 18 months and the unit is expected to be back in commercial service by the end of 1977, according to UP&L President E. Allan Hunter. Mr. Hunter said the time reduction was effected through the cooperation of General Electric, manufacturer of the turbine generator. In the interim, he said arrangements have been concluded to supply power to the customers of UP&L without' interruption barring failure of some larger generating units on either the UP&L system or the systems of neighboring utilities from whom the power is being purchased. Mr. Hunter also said that the company is trying to get the Huntington Plant second unit, now under construction, in service as early as possible, and that it may initially be on the line as early as February 1977. Anderson, and family members from Arvada, Colo. Robert, an LDS bishop in Arvada, brought two busses to Ephraim, where they stopped for accommodations for the night.
