One first place and two runners-u- p in 12 categories were named by the judges. Each first place winner received a cash award of $200, each runner-u- p $100. In addition, many of the winners received scholarship offers from Utah colleges and universities. Most seriously injured was Steven, 20, who will remain in the Utah Valley Hospital for six weeks while recovering from a broken pelvis and ankle and dislocated hip. Mr. Hanks has been promi- - Childrens Fund Drive Nets $1650.43 for Medical Center The Childrens Fund Drive which ended May 6 collected $1650.43 in the Manti Utah Stake. The money will go to the Childrens Medical Center where it will be used in support of the centers activities, including assistance to needy children, Mrs. Barbara Eliason, Manti, Primary stake president and campaign director, said. Primary workers in each ward conducted the drive on a e canvass, Mrs. Eliason said. During commencement exercises President Higbee will present a special citizens award School District, Teachers Agree on Contract Terms The South Sanpete School District and the South Sanpete Teachers Association have reached a settlement that not inonly provides for salary two for also creases but programs new to the district. One new program is a sabbatical leave provision that will enable teachers to take a years leave of absence for further study and then return to their positions.
