Visiting from Huntsville, Alabama have been Tom and Marilou Myers and their children, Tommy, Melissa and Jon. Stephen and Margaret Nadauld and children, Stephen, Justen and Jamie have been here from Pleasant Hills, California. Miss Margaret Anderson, Dr. and Mrs. Dan Madsen and Manti Center Ward Relief Society in honor of their partners. A Hawaiian theme was used for the festive affair. Handmade leis were presented to each guest. They were served an array of foods from a bounteous and colorful serving table and individual tables were artistically decorated with shells and flowers. Beautiful island music complemented the theme of the evening. Judge Don Tibbs acted as emcce for the program. Musical numbers were sung by Marilou D. Myers and Martha Keeler, Susan Peterson, and several numbers by Susan Ericksen. Mrs. Vernon Kunz showed slides of picturesque scences in Hawaii and Beverley Fredrick did a Hawaiian dance. She was joined by Douglas Dyreng, Terry Frost and Karl Purcell. The Relief Society presi- - family from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Anderson and family from Price, Mr. and Mrs. Udell Poulsen and family of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Marjorie Gagan and family of Provo and Mrs. Richard Christensen and daughter Ann ofRiverside, California have all been guests of the Dyrengs. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Dyreng and children David and Darren have joined in the festivities. Stettler reports that her son Wayne J. Justesen, who has been very ill in a Wilmington, North Carolina hospital with a heart attack, is much improved and will be able to leave the hospital in a short time. He and his wife Elizabeth will go to their summer home at Wrights Beach on the North Carolina coast until Wayne is able to go back to their home in Dunn, N.C. Sidney Rymer is convalescing at home and is reported improving slowly. Their daughter Jannette Rymer from Phoenix, Arizona is helping to care for him. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Parry were at Fish Lake for a few days last week where they joined some of their family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harris (Eunice) and son Paul from North Hollywood, California, also grandchildren, Mr, and Mrs. Gary Tomsik and three greatgrandchildren from Hunter. A dinner in honor of Harmons birthday was enjoyed. Then on Sunday, Aug. 7 the Parrys went to Orem to a dinner honoring Elaine Murphys birthday anniversary. It has been vacation time for Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Allen. On Saturday Evan baptized Jackies sisters little boy and on Sunday Evan Sterling Merrill Washburn visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Washburn, on the Labor Day weekend. He works in Provo. Bruce, Barbara, John, Rebecca and Roger Barton spent Friday and Saturday at the State Fair in Salt Lake City. They attended Holiday on Ice also. They stayed with the Alden K. Bartons. Scott Dona Peterson 3 Telephone Dr. Bruce Mclff and family of Provo, together with another couple, have been visiting the old pioneer landmarks at Nauvoo and other places of great importance between Provo and Illinois. This vacation proved not only very educational but enjoyable to all who boarded the bus. 835-545- Hubert and Mildred (Mclff) Jensen, who have been living in Salina at the home of his father, were recent visitors at the Eldon Mclff home. Mr. Larry Jensen a professional ball player, will share his talent and sportsmanship with students and faculty at Snow each 5c !b. 17c Jeff and Fonda Cutrer from Salt Lake City spent the Labor Day weekend with Fondas mother, Mrs. Luell Sorensen. Walter and Julie Lowry are spending most of this month at the Marlton Lowrys. On Sept. 23 they leave for Logan where Walter will again attend the USU. The Loomis Frandsens have had some of their family with them for the Labor Day weekend. Darlene and Robert Pratt and their children were Mr. and Mrs. Clint Ludvig-so- n and daughter Kathy Ann of Salt Lake City were weekend visitors at the home of Eldon and Rose Mclff and father, Elmer Ludvigson. Other visitors were Gary and Jolene Ludvigson. Gary is a qualified electrician and did the electrical wiring in the new portion of the Mclff s home. lb. $1.35 TURKEY HAM Rolls Sb. Officers from all over the state attended the affair which lasted from Thursday through Saturday of last week. Forest Washburns had two nephews, Dale and Lynn Hatch and Lynns wife as visitors. s: s 4 Beth Call is recuperating satisfactorily at home following her recent surgery at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. After leaving the hospital, she spent a week with her daughter and family, the Terry Brewers, in Salt Lake City. Lynn Nielson and family spent the weekend at Bear Lake where they met Shirleys sister and her family from Rexburg, Idaho who had come down to Bear Lake to be with the Nielsons. The Allen families then met on Sunday afternoon for a family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Allen in Provo. All but one family were represented at the gathering. Local families attending included the Stanley Allens and the Val Alders. Since there are nine birthdays in the Allen families in September they all sang happy birthday. A delicious pot luck dinner was enjoyed by all. Games, visiting, picture taking and sports were also in order. After spending the night in Provo, Mrs. Zwallen and Iris and Stanley and Lucille left for Rexburg, Idaho where they left Iris to attend Ricks College. They proceeded on to Olympia, Washington to the home of a son, Mr. and Mrs. David Allen. They spent two days visiting and sightseeing (in the rain). They then left for Belmont, California by a coastal route which was all beautiful country. After spending three days with the Zwahlens the Allens boarded a plane and flew to Salt Lake City. There they were met by Mrs. Unemouich and visited and spent the day in their home. In the evening they boarded a bus and left for Manti and home. But the Allens were not through celebrating.
