This summer I am attending Army ROTC Basic camp for 6 weeks. Each week I look forward to receiving my copy of the Messenger. Its nice to know what is happening in good old Manti. Even though I am over 1600 miles away, when I sit down with the Messenger I feel as though I am right there in Manti with all of you fine people. Supreme Court Justice Will Speak The Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Warren E. Burger, will make a major Bicentennial address in Salt Lake City Sept. 6, 1975 in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. The Chief Justices address, the first major Bicentennial observance for Utah, will be highlighted by selections from the Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The program is being sponsored by the Utah American Revolution Bicen- tennial Commission and hosted by Governor Calvin C. Ramp-to- of the strong independent judiciary hoped for by the founding fathers during his n. The Chief Justice, who will have dedicated the new law school at Brigham Young University the day before, will address a Tabernacle audience of Utah attorneys and educators on the struggle for an independent judiciary as a cause of the American Revolution,, according to Mark W. Cannon, administrative assistant to the Chief Justice. The Chief Justice will also trace the historic development address. The long program nationwide over the Public Broadcasting Service through the combined production facilities of KSL-Tand KUED-TV- . The program can be seen Sunday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. on KUED and on other PBS stations across the country.
