Show flight to Washington to visit a daughter, Mrs. Velia Horrocks. They stayed there four weeks. Manti Messenger Manti, Utah Thursday, July 24, 1975 While there they went to Seattle and saw many interesting sights. They gathered shells and rode on a ferry boat. They reported it was a beautiful place to visit with so much greenery and beautiful flowers. Manti South Elaine Higham 2 Telephone 835-446- Mrs. Pearl Dickerson and son Mark from Mesa, Arizona were in Manti for a few days to see the Pageant. Mrs. Alvin Beal accompanied her father, Ivan Squire of Clarion, to the Oliver E. Squire reunion held Ardray Wintch was taken to the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City for medical care. His condition is serious, his wife reports. Pearl has been going back and forth from Manti to Salt Lake to be with him. in Lehi on Saturday, July 19. Mrs. lynn Barney and son Ivan left home on June 5th. They went to Salt Lake City where they stayed two days. On Saturday, June 7, Keith Barney took them to the airport for a Mr. and Mrs. Norman P. Hill (Erma) arrived by plane in Salt Lake City on July 10 to spend a three-wee- k vacation. They visited in Salt Lake City with Lorna Nielsen, a sister of Mrs. Hill, and Mrs. William Nielsen, Erma's mother, and Dale Nielsen and his family, together with a son Stephen N. Hill. On Wednesday, July 16, all of the Mrs. Alta Pierson, above went to Manti and enjoyed one evening at the Mormon Miracle Pageant which they enjoyed very much. The Hills spent three days at Panguitch, their old home, and then all returned to Salt Lake City to visit until their return to Maryland July 20. Mrs. Wm. Nielsen will return to Manti about the 2nd of August. Douglas Page from Long Stan and Ruth Brox, was their guest during the Pageant. Mr. and Mrs. Glen (Maurine) Anderson and two children of Murray, were guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Anderson last Saturday and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Adams had 16 overnight visitors who came to see the Pageant. The Adams two sons, Orin and Karl Adams, wife Virginia and six children from Orange, California were here as well as Dr. Bryant Lee Adams, another son, and his wife Janet, and eight children from Hagerman, Idaho. They came Friday night and stayed Sunday to attend church. There were 18 of the Adams family here at the same time. Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Brox went to St. George and met their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Buzzo (Judy) and their two children. The Buzzos drove from Yuma, Arizona and they visited together for two days before returning home. Chiro Costanza and family of Murray, Mrs. Visitors at the Forest Washburn home have been Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Schmidt and their two children and Douglass parents. Douglas and Janice and family live in Smithfield. (La-Nett- recent guests at her parents home, Mr. and Mrs. were Frank Madsen. MARGARINE, Tastewell Andrew Mickelson family reunion was held Richfield last Saturday. as Pageant guests for the weekend, their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Brewer and Danny and Robin and a niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hawkins. The Brewers just recently moved from Great Falls, Montana to Salt Lake City to live and the Hawkins live in GROCERIES Don child from Beach, California, a nephew of The July 24, 25, 26 daughter son-in-la- and their Aberdeen, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Max Call had Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Roselda Wilkinson in Twenty-si- x members of the Ernest Mickelson family attended. They were: Ernest and Nora and Shelly; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mickelson and family, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mickelson and child, Manti; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mickelson and four children, Auburn, Washington; and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Anderson and children, Manti. Other people from Manti attending the Mickelson reunion were: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garbe, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Garbe and Provo. Frank Madsen was visited by his cousin from Milford last week. The guest stayed overnight. Overnight guests of Edna Christensen were her cousin, Manti Center Skott-Myhr- and Mrs. Nils e and family of Seattle, Washington, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Hans Arthur Davidson and Dr. and Mrs. Mr. Skott-Myhr- Halvard J. Davidson, e was family. Mrs. anxious to be with her father H.A. Davidson during his and Homemakers recent surgery at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Davidson is home and recovering nicely. Miss Jane Davidson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Halvard J. Davidson has received her Skip July Meet The Young Homemakers will not hold a meeting during July, according to Suzanne Cox. Library Notes Story hours will not be held this week due to the July 24th holiday. Carol Oaks of the Utah State Library will visit the library on July 31st at 4 p.m. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar. This session will climax the story hour season and it is hoped a large group of n children attend. Barbara and Shirley Nielson were story ladies last week. Davidson with his wife Cheryll and son Michael Jeffery, left for San Francisco, California. The Bay City will be their home for the next three years, where Mike will attend the College of the Pacific Dental School. He reports he is busy but happy in his studies. Visitors during the Mormon Miracle Pageant at the Dr. Halvard J. Davidson home were Dr. and Mrs. Green of Blackfoot, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Martin and daughters of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Audrey Goodwin and son Byron of Lehi, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Anderson and family of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Mirl B. Hymas and children of Orem, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Warner of Ogden, Utah and their sons and daughters-in-law- . Carol, Julie, Shauna, and Jane each voiced their love for the pageant and what a privilege it had been to have participated in the pageant in previous years. They miss not being in the pageant and living in Manti but have commented what an influence it has had in their lives. Mr. and Mrs. William A. Pope returned home last Saturday from a two week trip. They attended two family reunions, one with their own children and their families at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Forty were in attendance for two days. The other reunion was a brother and sister reunion with wives and husbands and a few nephews and nieces. Nineteen were assembled for this occasion. They traveled in New Mexico visiting places they had lived in over 40 years ago. They report that New Mexico and Colorado mountains were very green and beautiful with wild flowers. In ' Paradox, Colorado they visited with the John D. Rogers and report that they are happy and in fairly good health. Mrs. Francis L. Bown and Wanda Cook had as their guests during the Pageant relatives from Idaho Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Carpenter and daughter Beverly, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Landon and Cindy, Lynette Birch, Jean Harmon, Susan Hasker, Angella Johnson, Julie Becker, Vina Snarr, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cook and sons Russell and Dannie, also Mrs. Cooks mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Stringham of Granger. The Edward Reid relatives held their reunion July 20 in the Manti City Park. There were 45 in attendance. The Relief Society ladies of the Manti Center Ward will meet Tuesday, July 29 at 10 a.m. for their homemaking day. Dr. Wendell McGarry will present the lesson on dental A demonstration on car equipment and methods of drying fruits and vegetables will be given. There will be an exchange of recipes for canning and preserving foods. Each lady is asked to bring her favorite recipe with her. Nursery care will be provided and luncheon will be served.
