Wintch were in Orem May 14th to attend funeral services for Mrs. Wintchs sister, Alice Madsen Dawson of Provo. They came to Utah for the burial of Mani Sorensons American mother, Mrs. Elvira Senior, formerly of Salt Lake City, who died in Thirian May 1st. Denny and Mani did not know w hen they would return to Germany. Ora Pherson, from Spanish Fork came to spend Mothers Day with his parents and brother, the Stanford 0t Johnsons and Bruce Johnson and his family. The three ladies were visitors at the homes of their children, Mrs. John Bishoff. Mrs. LaRell Sparks and Mr. Moyle Anderson and their companions and children in Salt Lake. In addition to the pleasant visiting and gifts they received, they were taken to a performance of The Student Prince starring Robert Peterson. The visitors returned to their homes on Wednesday. last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hansen. Enroute home she planned to visit a week with her sister Mrs Donald McGraw and her family who live at the Shanto Boarding School in Arizona. GROCERIES TIDE, Family Size Mrs. Kate Li ingston, 82, fell in her yard Saturday and sustained a fracture of her hip. Neighbors, Reed Madsen and Alden Lund carried her from her yard into her home and notified her daughter, Roxie Mortensen. Later in the day she was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Mt. Pleasant and from there transferred to the Utah Valley Hospital. She has been placed in traction and her son. Kent Thursby who visited her Sunday, reported that plans were being made to operate on Tuesday. Peninsula, California visited May 22, 23, 24 ; Mrs. Mortensen, were present from Ephraim. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Olpin of Fillmore, who met the Hansen car with its passengers in Nephi; Mr. and Mrs. Ace Boulter and Mrs. Lacy White from Dragerton and Mrs. Joe Olpin and nephew from Heber. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mrs. Josie O. Anderson commemorated her 87th birthday anniversary throughout the week before and after her date which is May 17. Family members came from Provo on Wednesday to participate in a dinner and other friends and relatives have visited or called on the phone every day. Although she has lost her sight, Mrs. Anderson lives alone and with some assistance manages the affairs of her daily life. She even prepares and serves refreshments to guests. She has an astonishing memory and is an interesting conversationalist, keeping abreast of Midvale. Sandra will graduate from Snow College May 30; Clifford will graduate from Manti High School May 23 and Kenneth will graduate from Ephraim Junior High May 22. Next fall three members of the Sorensen family have been accepted and will enroll in coIlege-Way- ne and Sandra at BYU and Clifford at Snow College. Wayne will be released June 12 from his mission.
