In conjunction with the confer- ence all church leaders, stake leaders, and ward leaders were sustained. The stake presidency presided over the meeting. Special speakers were Bishop Keller, Glen Bair and Earl Wheeler. Bishop Keller spoke of the great importance of studying the scriptures. He challanged all ward members to embark on a program of regular scripture study. He suggested that they either read the four gospels in the New Testament or up to Mosiah in the Book of Mormon. Alma Wanless, Shirlene Olsen, LaMar Jorgensen, and Florence Halls were called on to give The talks. extemporaneous ward choir favored the congregation with two musical numbers.
