President - McKay turned the time to President prayer. for his presentation. President Wilkinson then called upon Leland Anderson, who was then serving as seminary teacher trainer and with whom he had had close personal contact, to tell a Danish story. Although his request came without previous warning, Leland responded admirably and had his august body "In stitches" wlthseveral encore performances. President Anderson, as he became known, was an educator all of his adult life and an outstanding teacher. He had a story to fit every lesson and every story had a great moral. A story teller par excellence, he also had stories which were of the entertaining type. Thirty-si- x of his favorite stories have been published in a book just off the press. Stories of Power and Purpose. Since President Anderson spent twenty years of his adult life in Manti, it is to be expected that several of his published stories are about experiences he had here eight of them In fact.
