Angels Club The Salt Lake Angels were mathematically eliminated from the Pacific Coast Leagues eastern division pennant chase Monday night, but the Tucson Toros knew club in the loop. they had been tested by the second-bes- t in the crucial seven-gamseries at Derks the past six nights, four of the games were decided by one run. The crowds were big and enthusiastic. It was a dramatic ending. Although the pennant eluded the Angels this season, no one can fault manager Les Moss and his charges since they put on a second half rush which saw them come from 10 games back of Tucson to seriously threaten the cactus country club for the flag Frankly, the Angels turned themselves around in the second half. After playing sloppily and, at times, y through the early going the Salt Lake baseball club reversed itself and became a winning and interesting team to watch down the stretch. Tucson, however, was just a shade belter club and simply deserved to win the East Title. At the outset of the season, the Angels had a club which could score runs in abundamce.
