Five students and a professor complained to the Daily Prince-tonia- n that Imee, as a member of the incoming class, "constituted a threat to the academic life of the university. They pointed out that because her father was a most controversial politician his daughter would require extraordinary campus security. Samuel Solomon, a special assistant ' in the Office of Civil Rights, an ombudsman of sorts for the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, recently reported on 12 cases of reverse discrimination. Ive been out on the campus trail in recent weeks, Solomon confided to The Los Angeles Times, and Im getting the impression that most institutions are engaged in some form of discrimination against white males.
