Show U PA a D L CO GETS FRANCHISE the board of 0 county commissioners met in regular session monday au august 21 1916 chairman conley and Ho lingren present blackburn absent P al M parry division manager of utah power and light co met relative to making application for an electric light heat and power franchise within the county of cf box elder upon request of chairman the proposed ordinance was read by the clerk cleric there upon coar holmgren moved that tile the ordinance as ag read pass upon its first reading carried tile the ordinance was then read second time by title and amr conley moved that ordinance pass upon its second reading carried thereupon amr holmgren moved that the ordinance be read in full and pass upon its final reading which was done and a vote taken which was as follows conley and holmgren voting aye thereupon chairman conley declared that final action act on would be deterred deferred on account of the absence of amr blackburn richard peters representing the town board of perry met relative to I 1 the along the stats sta i road thru perry he was informed that eight feet had been reserved for that purpose and that the town board of oe perry would have to get it in shape C I 1 AL petersen road supervisor of Al mantua antua met relative to an appropriation to help repair the road in nox box E elder 1 der canyon where his district begins 9 I 1 ns was allowed for that purpose 11 G johnson road supervisor of F east ast garland met relative to graveling a piece of road in his district was instructed that an appropriation has already been set aside for that purpose and to proceed to do the work as soon as possible attorney W J lowe representing some taxpayers of elwood presented a petition for the creation of a drainage district upon motion petition was granted and oct 2 1916 at 2 was set as a day for hearing any protests which might arise from petition communication from burt nelson relative to levying a bounty on squirrels which are pests in the western part of the county clerk instructed to advise him that the board will tee ee what jurisdiction they have in ill the matter communication from leo lee neal acad supervisor of standrod rela relative tive to plank for bridges was instructed to purchase plank at his nearest point communication from utah idaho sugar co relative to road thru see sec 2 tp 10 N R 3 west wesl the company has sold property and wishes the road changed referred to committee as a whole communication from J C wheelon relative to county agent tor for agricultural work that the tha government portion of the expense was available upon application taken under advisement |
