from 2 to 10 p rn i‘frs Barber was born February 12 1863 at Bountiful a daughter of Judson and Sophia Merrill Tol- man When she was six years of age che svent with her family to Willard where her mother died Later she returned to Bountiful and on January 6 1881 was mar- ried to Perry Sessions of Bountiful in the old Endowment House in Salt Lake City Mr and Mrs Sessions moved to Idaho four years Chesterfield later where Mr Sessions engagedLater they homein farm ina steacred in what : s now known as Bancroft Idaho but due to ill health Mr Sessions returned to Utah locatira irs in Woodruff where he died August 18 1896 To sup-ta- n port her family cf eight small children Mrs Sessions wove When her children were pets older she went to Salt Lake City to study nursing and in 1904 came Syracuse to practice her profess:on of obstetrical nursing In May 1931 she was married to Charles Barber of Syracuse He died in 1933 2sIrs Barber takes an active interect in her church work her friends her flowers piecing quilts and knitting lace Although she spends the winter with her sons and daughters she returns to Syracuse in the summer and works among her flowers Her eight sons and
