| Show cole bros circus Is almost on the rocks the cole bros circus came in gaty rear r ear getting stranded in i n cureka fur e k a tuesday and the only thi g t that h en i abbed the show to get out ot of town vi was as the I 1 b ral patronage given the even ng per format ce the manager of the circus who a emed to be a very decent sort of a tello fello v stated that hard luck has been right at his heels for several weeks and when the sho v got into cold weather ir r idaho the entire receipts i ere hard ly sufficient to buy food fod for the per formers and animals at tooele thoele where the circus appeared on mon day but very little money was taken in and another date like that would have put the show on the rocks the eureka people however shelled out in the i neighborhood of five hundred dollars for the evening performance and und this made it poss ble for thi manag r to pay bills which had been contracted at the local stores and rave h in a little money with wh ch to keep his performers and the rail road company s off ciali from attach ing the sho v ahe show is headed south and the manager feels sure that he can hold th together if he can make the jump to the coast ahe sho v was rather acor but to the credit of the local people it must be said that there were no kicks most of them no do abt feel n that they were doing an act of charity in contributing their in te toward getting the aggregation out of town ton |
