Show SCOUTS MARCH r rOOM BEAR LAKE with the stars and stripes flying and the drummer rolling roiling off a march beat the boy scouts of tile the third ward marched proudly down main alain and forest streets at five minutes to eleven elevell last friday morning on oil their return from dear bear lake where they had spent two weeks in drilling and rusticating the trip was made by way ot of Blacksmith tork canyon and the boys m most 0 st ot of them walked tile the entire distance some of oe the sm smaller iti aller ones had lifts along the way when the journey became too strenuous but the company returned in fine physical condition and the boys report having had the time of their lives the trip was made under the supervision er of dr 13 P coburn and sterling D madsen scout masters with Ales mesdames dames coburn abid aid madsen as representatives of the red cross and only one accident occurred phillip call tell fell while twining r ind i nd brok lila his arm a few days after arrival at bear lake he was taken to logan where the fracture was reduced and then brought on home some of the little fellows got homesick once or twice but that was the only unpleasant thing they experienced the hike proved a splendid demonstration of what can be done with a company of boys for everything was managed according to scout military rules and regulations and the fact that they made the long trip successfully is an achievement which the boys and their leaders may reflect upon with pride for the badali balance e of their days the scouts marched straight to the home of their wounded comrade master alaster philip call whom they gre greeted eted affectionately and offered feli citations then marched back to the acme of dr coburn where vl cre they disbanded and scattered for their various homes |
