Some years ago the reserve was open to white men for sports but recently it has been closed to all save Indians The reservation properly belongs to the Indians but Whites eye the fine fishing and shooting opportunities with keen desire ' Until a few years ago permits could be obtained by members of a sportsmen’s association at the rate of (5 the season This sum was deemed very reasonable when
