Hill Air Force Base saved the life of a man who was trapped face down in mud under his overturned SUV. By enlisting the help of others, the vehicle was Counterman moved enough so that Lukas could pull the man free." Counterman described the situation as a miracle: "it Chaplain (Capt.) Lukas Counterman was honored at this event for his heroic efforts during a car accident last year. While traveling in Atlanta last year, Counterman "encountered an automobile accident ... His quick action and response was almost 3 am., in the pouring down rain, standing in pooled water and mud with a man half-ejected from his SUV and it pinning him face-down to the ground. I knew that if we didn't do something right then, this man was going to die. I'm not sure how we were able to move the vehicle enough to pull him out, but I'm a Chaplain and I'm convinced that miracles still happen." Counterman started off his day with a delayed flight, and was arriving at his final destination in the early morning hours. He was "frustrated and tired" but had he not experienced these trials, and although he didn't understand them at the time, the man he rescued may not be alive today had he not been there. In addition to the current courses offered (i.e., Basic RiderCourse, Basic RiderCourse2 (refresher course), and 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse), three new courses will soon be offered to help improve riders' skills. Two of these are refresher and the next step in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) continuing rider education. A short description of each is as follows: • Returning Rider BasicCourse (RRBRC) is designed for the returning rider with previous experience operating motorcycles, someone who has ridden previously and is returning to the activity, or who have been riding on a permit and wish to renew their basic skills and/or earn a license waiver. The RRBRC is a one day course. The RRBRC consists of five classroom units and nine riding exercises. • Military SportBike RiderCourse (MSRC) is intended for motorcyclists who have completed the MSF Basic RiderCourse or have a similar experience level. This is the next course after the BRC2 for continued personal development of behavior and riding skills. The course adds specific language for sport bikes and includes military references. The MSRC is a one day course and is used as a refresher course. MSRC consists of approximately three hours of classroom interactive lessons and four hours of on-cycle range time. • Advanced RiderCourseSportBike Techniques (ARCST) is the public version of the Military SportBike RiderCourse (MSRC), and may be taken by riders using any type of motorcycle. This is the next course after the Basic RiderCourse2 for continued personal development of behavior and riding skills. The ARC-ST is a one day course and is used as a refresher course. Expectations have been running high for Mr. Burgundy and his crew. And I believe they have been met or slightly exceeded. So, yay, News Team! After the last movie, Ron and Ms. Corningstone made the leap to New York City as local news team partners, but Ron (Will Ferrell) is devastated when his lovely Veronica (Christina Applegate) is promoted to the solo chair and he's sent packing back to San Diego. He ends up introducing the dolphin show at SeaWorld, with a scotch in one hand and a mic in the other. Even the dolphins hate him. He's reached the lowest of low points once again, but then, just as quickly, he's hired to be part of an emerging 24-hour news program GNN and he takes his three stooge buddies, Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner) and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) back with him. Yes, the News Team assembles! But the boys are dismayed and a little freaked out when they are given the 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. time slot and their new boss is a black woman (just think Austin Powers and the guy with the "mole.")
