Load crew competitions are held to give weapons personnel the opportunity to display their war-fighting skills and to unveil the best weapons load crew for a particular quarter during the year. In addition to the weapons loading, crews are also inspected on their dress and appearance, and have their tool boxes inspected for good order to determine the best weapons load crew of the quarter. IKA U.S. Air Force Hill AFB hosts talks between JASDF, U.S Air Force officials Ogden Air Logistics Complex T he Ogden Air Logistics Complex hosted the U.S. Air Force and Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) logistics talks April 1-3 at Hill Air Force Base. The purpose was to explore evolving partnerships between Air Force and JASDF, clarify and discover joint capabilities, and share common practices to mutually enhance logistics management. Lt. Gen. Judy Fedder, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support at the Pentagon, led the talks, which included members from the JASDF, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Ogden ALC, Air Force Sustainment Center, Defense Logistics Agency, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center and Air Force Materiel Command. During their visit, several briefings were given outlining repair capabilities at Hill AFB, DLA and supply chain management capabilities, as well as the importance of Air Force and JASDF relationships in the Pacific region. The JASDF also toured several production areas including F-16, C-130 and F-35 repair facilities. Maj. Gen. H. Brent Baker Sr., Ogden ALC commander, said he felt the talks were successful and the most substantive talks between these two allies in the last several years.
