Show HILLTOP TIMES In The Know The Landing gets new hours From page 1 The base club, The Landing at Bldg. 450, has new hours since March 1. The new hours will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays. Beer, wine and a limited food menu will be available during events that extend past closure times such as bingo, Latin Night and UFC events. A pasta buffet will be offered every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $7. Members save an additional $1. assistance. Annual Team Hill Awards Breakfast The Team Hill Annual Awards Breakfast 2014 will be at 7 p.m. on March 14 at the Hill Aerospace Museum. Dress code for the event is Uniform of the day for military and business attire for civilians. Military Participants should wear service dress. The menu will include scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, french toast, coffee, tea and orange juice. Admission is $15. For more information, contact 1st Lt. Melissa McWherter at 801777-6288. Families with special needs summit A Families with Special Needs Summit will start at 10 a.m. on March 20 at The Landing. The summit will include an Information Fair and Service Provider Displays until 2 p.m. in the Ballroom followed by TRICARE & United Healthcare Q&A session. The summit will offer information on a variety of topics including early intervention, special education, medical needs/benefits, assistive equipment and alternative therapies. A lunch buffet will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will be served in the 0' Lounge. The lunch is free for the first 200 to attendees. This event is open to active duty, retirees, guard, reservists, civilians and family members. For more information, call 777-4681. Women's Program planning events The Federal Women's Program is planning numerous upcoming events to support the recognition, training and promotion of Civilian Women at Hill AFB. Lunch & Learn Opportunities The lunch and learn events are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month, except in March, at Building 1231, Room 6 from 11 a.m. to noon. Three classes offered: 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Drug testing location moves HILL AIR FORCE BASE 4 Drug testing began on Feb. 26 at our new location, 5835 D Avenue, Building 152, just south of the Mountain View Inn. It will no longer be across from the Medical Group. This move has been underway for nearly 3 years and is a win for everyone. Not only will the staff have the resources they need to conduct their mission, this building will provide you, our customer, with a more central location, decreasing time away from work for testing. The Base Theater shows fairly new released movies for free. Three movies are shown every Saturday at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. There is a snack bar that helps support initiatives of the base's First Four organization. Donors needed for base blood drive HILL AIR FORCE BASE 4 Organizers of the March base blood drive hope at least 80 donors will take the time to sign up and help save lives.
