The health department will offer insurance billed flu vaccinations to Hill's non-Tricare beneficiary civilian employees. Eleven flu vaccination clinics are scheduled and blood pressure and cholesterol screenings will also be offered. Air Force Materiel Command, the parent command for Hill AFB, made free flu vaccine available for its civilian employees the past two years, but made the hard decision not to offer the vaccine for free this year because of current fiscal constraints. The flu vaccination is a covered benefit by most health insurance plans offered to Hill's civilian employees. Employees who want to take advantage of the on-base clinics must bring their proof of insurance card; otherwise, noninsurance billed flu vaccine will cost $25 for the flu shot and $30 for flu mist. Civilian employees who miss the clinics may get the vaccine off base at the Davis County Health Department in nearby Clearfield on 22 S. State St., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no appointment. Tricare will continue to provide flu vaccines for all active duty members, military retirees and military family members. Vaccinations are available at the 75th Medical Group immunizations clinic and during vaccination lines being held across the installation. F ederal Employees Health Benefits Open Season will run Nov. 11 through Dec. 9. Health Insurance Representatives will be at the Warrior Fitness Center, Building 533, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 12, 13 and 14 and Dec. 3, 4 and 5. Brochures and information on 2014 premiums will be available at the Health Fair and at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) web site at http:// www.opm.gov/insure/ when finalized for publication. OPM's Guides to Federal Benefits provide information on Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB), Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), and Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS), and are available on the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) web site at www. opm.gov/insure/health/ planinfo/guides/index.asp. Most federal civilians will review RI 70-1 and temporary employees will review RI 70-8.
